Today, Arens' electronic shift selectors are standard equipment on over 90% of all medium and heavy-duty trucks and transit buses manufactured in North America. Arens has developed several application-specific, multi-function, configurable shift-by-wire control devices designed to integrate multiple vehicle functions into one shift selector control. An example of this can be found in the custom-engineered control console designed for agricultural combines. This fully-integrated control console allows the operator to control the vehicle propulsion using an electro-mechanical shift selector and Arens' proprietary digital switch module to control several other vehicle functions.
